The question of the hour?

Why does the U.S. Senate, Congress, and their staff have a separate retirement plan than the rest of the country? If you were not aware of it, they do not participate in the failing Social Security Plan like the people they represent.

It is time to take an honest look at the differences between the citizens of our country and the leaders that we entrust our future to. If we are all created equal and they are a "servant of the people" as we have all heard that phrase a time or two, then why are they allowed to invest their retirement funds in a better and more profitable investment than the rest of us?

It is no wonder that every time Social Security comes up for a much needed overhaul that it always seems to get a Band-Aid instead of the proper attention an issue as important as the retirement of most of the workers in America should. You noticed I said most of the workers but not our elected leaders.

Now tell me what is wrong with this picture?

cardsstacked.gif (12604 bytes)Are the cards stacked against us? We all know who is doing the shuffling and dealing, but why are our "trusted friends" dealing off the bottom of the deck?
